- (i) The upper age limit for the candidates belonging to General Category for appointment by direct recruitment to this selection is 53 years of age as on the first day of July of the recruitment year
- (i) Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known);
- (ii) Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.);
- (iii) Graduation with at least 45% marks and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard;
- (iv) Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.);
- (v) Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4- year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.;
- (vi) Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed., (Special Education)
(vii) Candidates must passed in their Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) Paper – II
- The Examination fee is Rs.600/- for all the candidates
- For SC, SCA, ST and differently abled persons the examination fee is Rs. 300/-
- Compulsory Tamil Language Eligibility Test
