- Assistant Mine Surveyor – 30 Years
- Candidates claiming to belong to any particular category shall necessarily have a valid EWS/OBC/SC/ ST certificate, as the case may be, from the Competent Authority. Where there is vacancy identified for such category, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, by 3 years for OBC candidates. Relaxation of age to Ex-Serviceman as per Govt. guidelines
- Degree in Civil/ Mining Engineering from a recognized University/Institution with Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS for Open Cast Coal Mines.
- Candidate belonging to General/EWS/OBC category is required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 300/-.
- The SC/ST/PwBD/XSM category and female candidates need not pay the registration fee. The payment can be made either in online or offline mode.

- The test will consist of two parts – Subject Knowledge test and Executive Aptitude Test. The candidates have to qualify separately in both the parts
