Scientist-‘B’ – 30 years
Relaxation of Upper age limit:
- SC/ ST Applicants: 5 years
- OBC Applicants: 3 years
- (Gen/ EWS) Applicants: 10 years
- (SC/ ST) Applicants: 15 years
- (OBC) Applicants: 13 years

Scientist-‘B’ – Chemistry
- Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences or equivalent [in Chemistry discipline only] with not less than sixty per cent marks in aggregate [fifty per cent for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes].
- Having valid GATE* score of 2023/2024/2025.
Scientist-‘B’ – Civil/ Environment / Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering –
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent with not less than sixty per cent marks in aggregate [fifty per cent for SC/ST]
- Having valid GATE* score of 2023/2024/2025.
